Meet Dr. Glenn Gabai

As a child I thought that headaches were a normal part of life because as I had them for as long as I could remember. I was normal, wasn't I? At 19 years old I went to my first chiropractor and months later the headaches stopped. Was it a miracle or coincidence?

I didn't "believe" in chiropractic, it was just that the results were so amazing to me that I had to know more. Of course, looking back I see that my headaches were not "normal" headaches. I was only 9 years old and would come home from school, go straight to bed, covering my head to block the light, sounds and smells that would trigger an even more horrible pain, if it was possible. It happened enough that it was regular for me. Two or three times a month, I would experience pain that shutdown my life and I knew that pain as just a part of routine. When I was a teenager I worked in a hospital that used to give me a green/yellow pill that made the headaches go away, but they always came back. After receiving chiropractic care for 9 months, the headaches stopped. This spoke very loudly to me. All my life I had been involved in health and helping others, so before chiropractic found me I figured I would be a medical doctor. When the power within my body healed me without drugs or surgery, I shifted my perspective on what was possible in health and helping others. Like I said, I never believed in chiropractic until I experienced the real benefits. Now, no one can ever tell me chiropractic doesn't work.

Education

As an undergraduate at the State University of New York at Buffalo, I realized early on that classroom success came at a different price for everyone.  For me, commitment to my work has always been what defines my actions.  I studied diligently to be able to graduate with honors. When I chose to go to Sherman College of Chiropractic in South Carolina, I was choosing the best school to prepare me to go into the world and succeed at helping others. I knew it was not about good grades alone but mastering skills that would ensure I would be able to help others with similar health problems to the ones I had. Whether they believed in chiropractic or not didn't matter because healing isn't only dependent on belief.  What matters is that you care to improve your health and life. My chiropractic education gave me the tools to begin the journey to succeed. I chose the right school at the right time and learned what I needed to begin on my path of learning about healing. It has been and continues to be a life long pursuit.

Like I said, I never believed in chiropractic until I experienced the real benefits. Now, no one can ever tell me chiropractic doesn't work.

Our most basic practice philosophy is that we can help you improve the most important thing in your life; your health. The objectives for care in our office revolves around determining what you want, then identifying if we can help you, giving you what they need, helping you to understand your problem and allowing you to make the best health decisions possible. I have also been to doctors offices for care, only to have them appear to make decisions as if they knew what is right for me. I am aware of my skills and abilities, as well as my limitations, but I never want someone to think that I could care more about their health then they do. Its a personal thing. Yes, I know more then many people do about health, but then I would never be so arrogant to think I know more about someones' life then they do. We want to give you good information to allow you to make better decisions about how to care for your health and life.

Personally

My wife Evelyn and I have created our own family health concept from the beginning of our relationship. I have always expected to work in a health care environment and she has been with me from the very start of our chiropractic office and other businesses. She said very early on that she couldn't imagine having to go to a sick hospital environment to have a baby so we had our 3 children at home with midwives in attendance. I am an emergency medical technician (EMT) and so is my youngest daughter.  The other two of our children are already successful chiropractors. I have seen what it is like for people in distress to need help and be thankful that someone is there for them. I think my whole family understands that implicitly.

Health is obviously very important to me. So, personally I make sure I have my spine checked on a weekly basis because I never want to be at the effect of nervous system irritation or pain ever again. I also believe that nutrition is extremely important because the quality of food has changed since generations ago and what we put into our bodies is important to how we will function in the future. I also do aerobic exercise and weight training to make my daily activities easier. I don't like to exercise at all, but I do like the results of staying in good physical form to make all the other things I do easier. I do outside work in the yard landscaping and gardening, both at my home and at the office. I know that being outside, breathing real air and getting away from the everyday stress is important to the quality of life. Health is our greatest wealth.

We want to help YOU improve the most important thing in YOUR life so you can enjoy your days to the fullest. Chiropractic can help you improve at every level of performance. Call us to see us and find out HOW.

Pennington Chiropractor, Dr. Aryn GabaiA honors graduate of Pennsylvania State University and Life University, Dr. Aryn has been practicing in Pennington since 2009.  "With my father being in the healthcare field, I grew up idealizing a career in serving the health needs of people.  When it came time to choose what part of the healthcare field to pursue, I came the realization that with chiropractic I can go anywhere and help people with their health in ways that were completely unavailable otherwise.  For me, the versatility and powerful foundation of chiropractic is more that useful, it is inspiring."

Dr. Aryn has a particular specialty in pediatric and maternity care through continued educational work with the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association.  "Growing up with chiropractic care has been one of the greatest blessings of my entire life.  To grow into my body, to have a powerful awareness of when it is healthy and when it is imbalanced, plus the benefits of a healthy immune system and complete independence from drugs... it has made me committed to providing the same opportunity for kids of my community.  We owe it to ourselves and our future humans to raise kids to be stronger than our current generation, independent of drugs and surgery."

Humanitarian Efforts

Dr. Aryn also works with chiropractic advocacy and humanitarian efforts on behalf of the chiropractic profession.  He sits on the Board of Directors for the World Chiropractic Alliance and the Council on Chiropractic Practice, the latter where he is also the Chair of the Guidelines committee for the 2013 Subluxation in Chiropractic Practice document.  He is Board certified in New Jersey.
